Conference 2007
CasteWatchUK held its second one-day conference, this one under the banner 'Fighting Caste discrimination in the UK'. on 15 July 2007 at Sandwell Council House, Oldbury in the West Midlands. The event attracted guest speakers and attendees from the UK and beyond.
The Conference Programme included a diverse range of speakers. The subjects and testimonials covered a gamut of caste issues in the United Kingdom, related experiences of caste-based discrimination here, examined concerns and reflected academic research about the trickle-down of caste prejudice and discrimination into this society. The Conference concentrated on how best to eliminate the poison seed of caste discrimination before it sends down wider roots and sought solutions for a fairer society unblemished by caste injustice and discrimination.
